Thanks guys for creating this site. I have met Rev. Aso during the beginning years of the campaign for the recognition of JFCs both in the Phil. and in Japan. He was a strong advocate for the rights of JFCs and other children in Japan. We are saddened by the news of his passing, but we know that he will not be forgotten because he made a mark in our hearts and in our society. May his life story continue to inspire us to move forward with greater dedication. For us Filipinos, Rev. Aso exemplifies the shining goodwill of many Japanese towards fellow Asians. May he rest in peace, and our condolences to his loved ones.
I am deeply saddened by his passing, As a mother of two JFC’s we would like to thank you Rev. Aso for all your loved and sacrfices for all the JFC in the Philippines. Rev. Aso was the founder and chairman of the CNJFC/Maligaya House and to this day the fight for those children continues.
Rest in peace dear Rev. Aso, thank you, thank you, maraming salamat po sa lahat nang nagawa mo sa aming kababayan; you are indeed an angel in disguise God bless you.
This is sad news indeed. But I know the Reverend would be glad to see from where he is now the splendor of the good work that he helped sow among the JFCs, their mothers and other oppressed and neglected groups. Onward with the struggle of the JFCs!
To be honest i really dont know much but rev. Aso nor did i got the chance to see him (such a shame). After i saw the news that he passed away i was wondering who he was and ehat did he did to be lovesd by my fellow brothers and sisters..after a thorough reading about his life and works, i was left astounded and wounded at the same time for yhe reason that finally i have found the kind of person that my heart is yearning for! (he’s not my biological father so there’s no need to panic). Eversince i understand the meaning of the word abandoned, i was frequently searching for a person who will give me hope and remove all my uncertainties and pain and alas! i found him, only at the same moment i also lost him..such irony. after few days i realized that there’s no need for me to feel sad instead i must celebrate and be happy for the life that Rev. Aso have. A life of love and compassion that touches and changes the life of hundreds..here we are the fruits of his labor, forever thanking him.
Rev. Aso. a man who welcomes the abandoned, love the unloved and give hope to the hopeless! You will be love forever and your name and work will never be forgotten..
